Textile Reinforced Concrete - GRC Synergies

This method of manufacturing has only recently been introduced but is gaining popularity in Europe. The production methodology utilises AR fibres which have been woven using industrial process into a cross weave fabric to produce a reinforcing mat. These are laid in both the front and rear faces of components at the point where tensile stresses occur thus providing reinforcement against cracking at these locations. Production of Textile Reinforced Concrete is generally more automated than traditional GRC production and is more suited to standard components such as thin flat panels and those units with limited three dimensional form.
